Allswell Supreme Mattress Review
Our Allswell Supreme mattress review takes a look at this amazing 14″ thick hybrid mattress made of premium materials that recently hit the market and that comes in at more than a reasonable price.
Allswell is one of the new online mattress companies that are taking over the mattress industry. They have already released two beds: the Allswell and the Luxe Hybrid (see our review here). Both are premium beds, built of the highest-quality materials though they have totally different construction (one is an all foam mattress while the other is a hybrid containing pocketed coils).
The one we’ll be reviewing today is their newest hybrid model made of multiple layers of various pressure relieving foams and a solid pocketed coil system that provides support, durability and stability to the mattress.
Topped with the plush Euro Top, the Supreme is the company’s most luxurious mattress to date and offers a perfect feel for all types of sleepers and all sleeping styles.
This in-depth review of the Allswell Supreme mattress evaluates all of the criteria we use to determine what constitutes a good mattress, which includes firmness / support, comfort, sleeping hot, and other features as outlined below.

Construction and Materials
The Allswell Supreme mattress is a 14″ hybrid mattress made up of the following layers:
- 1.5″ Euro Top – This layer 1.5″ of built-in pillow top that offers a luxurious cloud-like feel, relieves pressure points and improves airflow through the mattress.
- 2″ Comfort Layer – This layer is 2″ of the cooling graphite and copper gel infused memory foam designed to absorb and transfer heat away from the body and keep you cool and comfortable throughout the night.
- 2″ Transition Layer – This layer is made of 2″ of Energex foam that serves as a transition layer between the softer foam layers above and a firm coil system below. It is designed to provide deep pressure relief over a wide range of temperature.
- 8″ Support Layer – This layer is 8″ of high-quality pocketed coils designed to provide expected bounce and support while minimizing motion transfer and encourage airflow through the mattress. There is also a Reinforced Quantum Edge that makes sure the mattress keeps its form all the way around and that increases the sleeping surface of the bed by providing a soft and supportive feel everywhere.
- 0.5″ Bottom Layer – This layer is 0.5″ of a dense support foam designed to serve as the base for the layers above and increase the overall durability and stability of the mattress.
The cover of this mattress is made of the company’s special fabric that is breathable, soft and cool to the touch. It improves the airflow through the mattress and aids in cooling.
In addition, the cover is quilted with super soft foam that makes you initially sink into the bed and feel like you are sleeping on clouds.
All in all, the exterior of this bed is extremely soft and luxurious which is something we normally see only in mattresses costing 3-4x the cost of this one.
Firmness & Support
The Allswell Supreme mattress only comes in one firmness option, and we rate it at a 5,5 out of 10 (10 being the firmest).
It feels like a medium-firm mattress, in that the top comfort layers and soft cover provide a plush, luxurious feel with the underlying transition and pocketed coil support layers providing firmer support below.
The company rates this mattress in a range from 4.5 to 6.5 as you can see from the firmness scale given below, which you can also find on their site.
The firmness of a mattress largely depends on your weight and body type. With so many mattresses, since I am a heavier sleeper (230 lbs), I tend to press through the top comfort layers and feel more of the firmer and bouncy spring layers below.
However, this wasn’t the case with the Allswell Supreme. I compressed the soft pillow top and comfort layer a little bit, but the transition layer made of Energex foam and pocketed coil layer prevented me from sinking even further. They worked together to lift my heavy weight and distribute it evenly across the bed.
The first thing I felt when I laid down on the mattress was the plush, cloud-like feel of the pillow top and the contouring feel of the graphite and copper gel infused memory foam. As mentioned, I sunk into these layers to a decent degree, but the layers below prevented me from sinking even further and I didn’t feel trapped in foam.
Actually, I liked the small amount of sinkage which provided me with the hug and contour that I prefer with memory foam, without feeling too firm that some hybrids tend to feel.,
Overall, we felt that this mattress provides a perfect balance between pressure relief and support coming from the pocketed coils. It works well for all types of sleepers and all sleeping styles and, since we are primarily side sleepers, we felt that it works perfectly for side sleeping.
As soon as you lay on your side, you will feel the plush and conforming properties of the soft pillow top and memory foam layer. They will cradle your shoulders and hips and provide pressure relief, while the slightly firmer transition layer below and the individually pocketed coils will provide amazing ergonomic and spinal support.
The Allswell Supreme is an extremely comfortable mattress. As soon as you lay down on the bed, you will feel the soft cover and plush Euro top cushioning to your body and the memory foam layer molding and conforming to your body’s shape.
The transition layer works perfectly with the graphite and copper gel infused memory foam layer above to provide extraordinary pressure relief and some restorative benefits. So not only they will provide you with great comfort, but you will also enjoy a cooler sleep and many other benefits of graphite and copper gel infused memory foam.
These layers, combined with the pocketed coil layer below offer enough bounce and responsiveness which facilitates moving around in bed, changing positions and getting in and out of bed during the night. This also makes the Allswell Supreme an ideal mattress for sex.
So if you like medium firm beds that offer both memory foam feel and bounce coming from the pocketed coils, then you will truly enjoy this hybrid.
The level of comfort that it provides works for a large variety of sleepers with different sleeping styles and preferences. It has enough softness in the top comfort layers to cradle your shoulders and hips and prevent the appearance of pressure points when sleeping on your side while it also has enough firmness necessary to support your body and promote proper spinal alignment when you switch to your stomach or back.
This mattress sleeps quite cool due to special cooling foam layers, breathable cover and pocketed coil system that allows greater airflow through the mattress to prevent the build up of heat.
The graphite and copper gel infused memory foam layer has some natural cooling properties that dissipate excessive body heat and prevent its retention, while the transition layer aids in this and works well with all the other layers to keep you cool and comfortable all night long.
The Euro top and soft and breathable cover create a cool sleeping surface that is pleasant to the touch and they do a great job with the rest of the mattress to prevent sweating during the night.
We did not experience that sticky, sweaty feeling typical for most all foam mattresses or hybrid mattresses using memory foam in its construction, which was something that we really were thankful for.
Sinkage and Motion Transfer
As for sinkage and motion transfer, we didn’t experience too much of it when sitting or lying on this mattress. We always tend to mention that sinkage and motion transfer are, just like the firmness, largely weight dependent, and the fact that I weigh around 230 lbs tends to have a rather large bearing on the degree of sinkage I experience when sitting and lying on mattresses.
I often compress the softer top comfort layers quite a bit and feel more of the firmer support layers below, while Kaye experiences less sinkage due to her much lighter weight.
I compressed the soft Euro top and comfort layer of this mattress to a certain degree, but the firmer transition layer below and pocketed coil system perfectly worked together to lift my heavy weight and prevent me from sinking even further into the mattress.
The Allswell Supreme also didn’t cause Kaye to roll into me due to our weight disparity or experience that well-known feel of “sinking into a hole”.
As for the edge support, the Allswell Supreme has excellent edge support due to the Reinforced Quantum Edge that makes sure the mattress maintains its shape. It worked perfectly with the firmer transition layer and pocketed coil layer to prevent me from sinking all the way down through the mattress when sitting or lying near the edges.
I compressed the soft pillow top and memory foam layer pretty quickly when sitting on the edges, but I couldn’t feel the pocketed coils below, and I slept near the edge at times but I did not experience any of the “rolling off” the edges.
Motion transfer was minimal with the Allswell Supreme due to the use of pocketed coils and memory foam in its comfort layers which is known to offer superior reduction in motion transfer between sleepers moving during the night.
This makes the Supreme mattress an ideal mattress for couples and restless sleepers who tend to move around in bed a lot during the night.
Smell / Off-Gassing
The Alswell Supreme gets high marks in this category for not having too much of a noticeable smell upon opening the box. The hybrid coil / foam construction minimized the degree of off-gassing that all foam mattresses usually have.
Allswell is pretty standard when it comes to their warranty and support offerings. Most mattress companies offering mattresses in this category share about the same offerings in terms of sleep trials and warranty, and Allswell is no exception here.
- 100-Night Trial period
- 10 Year Warranty
- Free Ground Shipping
The new Allswell Supreme hybrid mattress is an extremely reasonably priced mattress, coming in at only $985 for a Queen. This is a great price given the luxuriousness of the materials and construction used in this bed.
Overall, the Allswell Supreme is an amazing new hybrid that can compete with premium mattresses costing much more. It combines pocketed coils and layers of special high-quality foams with a soft and extremely comfortable cover to provide a perfect balance of comfort and support and the best sleeping experience.
If you are looking for a premium and durable hybrid mattress that is both comfortable and capable of accommodating a wide variety sleepers with different sleep preferences, then the Allswell Supreme may be the right pick for you.
The use of various layers of high-quality, plush foams on top and pocketed coils in support layer makes this mattress have less motion transfer than many other mattresses.
It offers a medium-firm feel and excellent comfort and sleeps incredibly cool due to the special graphite and copper gel infused memory foam and pocketed coils used in its construction that allow greater airflow through the mattress and prevent the retention of the excessive body heat.
The Supreme hybrid is an excellent choice for all those who like the hug and contour of memory foam foam but don’t want to feel trapped. Its top comfort layers will cushion and mold to your body, while the slightly firmer transition layer made of the Energex foam and coil system will prevent you from sinking too much into the mattress and feeling enveloped by it.
All in all, the Allswell Supreme is an amazing new mattress made of premium materials that can provide you with good pressure relief and with the right balance of comfort and support necessary for a quality night’s sleep.
