The Proper pillow, created by Dr. Rick Loos, comes wrapped in a plastic package which may result in a slight off-gassing smell upon opening the package, but it is nothing overpowering and will dissipate within a few hours.
All you need to do is to remove the pillow from its packaging and leave it for for a few hours to air out so that its harmless odor can dissipate completely, put the pillow in the pillow case and you are ready for a comfortable night of sleep.
The pillow comes in a Standard Queen Size and features Patent Pending Inner Orthoic Ergonomic construction designed to suit all body types.
Proper Alignment Pillow construction
The unique inner pillow orthoic is composed of low density comfort foam and there is also a cooling comfort layer that disperses body heat and keeps you cool and comfortable all night long.
Because of its special construction, the pillow has a unique donut shape and it is wrapped in a soft hollow polyester fiber sleeve that insulates orthoic and helps keep the pillow cool.
The pillow also has a 300 thread count quilted outer shell which provides a luxurious look and feel and it’s removable and washable so you can take the cover to wash it whenever it is necessary.

When I first laid my head on the pillow I noticed it has this unique donut shape in the center where the pillow has less foam. This is supposed to help reduce back and neck pain and headaches caused by improper sleeping positions and I can say that it worked perfectly for me although at the beginning it felt rather weird to sleep on this.
We personally like pillows made of shredded memory foam or polyester fibers that that allow a good degree of adjustability, and although this pillow is not adjustable (you can’t open the pillow and remove the filling to reach the desired amount), we liked how we felt while sleeping on it.
It has this soft and cushioning feel and excellent support, and if you are a back or side sleeper you will like this pillow. It worked perfectly for us when sleeping on our backs or sides.

When lying on my back and side, it allowed my head to sink into it for a perfect pressure relief and provided me with cushioning and a cloud-like feel without making me feel enveloped by the pillow.
It also had enough support to keep my head, neck and shoulders in proper alignment with my spine and the rest of my body.
