OkiOki Mattress Review
Today’s review is our combined review of the OkiOki mattresses. OkiOki is a mattress producing brand that focuses on creating the highest-quality mattresses at an affordable price.
There are mattresses of four different firmness levels (OkiSoft, OkiFirm, OkiEasy, and OkiFlex) so you can easily pick the right firmness for your needs. Here we will take a look at OkiSoft, OkiEasy and OkiFlex.

The OkiSoft is made out of high-density gel memory foam which allows you to sink into the mattress for a perfect, cloud-like comfort and pressure relief, while it also provides enough support to keep your spine properly aligned.

OkiSoft mattress
The OkiFlex is a memory foam and foam-encased pocketed coil hybrid that gives you a buoyant feel, contour and support you need for a good night’s sleep.

OkiFlex and OkiEasy mattresses
The OkiEasy is a responsive hybrid made of layers of memory foam that provide the contouring feel while the foam encased pocket coils provide support for different sleep positions you may find yourself in.
In this review, we will be looking at the features and characteristics of all three mattresses and help you decide which one would be the best choice for your needs and sleep preferences. (Review updated

Construction and Materials
As each of these mattresses have different firmness levels, they also have different constructions.
OkiSoft
The OkiSoft is a 10” all foam mattress made up of 3 layers of highest-quality foams:
- 3” Top Cushion Layer – This layer is made of 3” of high-grade memory foam that cradles your body and creates a cloud-like feel while its high porosity allows better airflow through the mattress that prevents the buildup of excessive body heat and keeps you cool and comfortable throughout the night.
- 6” Transition Layer – This layer is a 6” of two-part high-density PU Foam that provides the proper support needed to keep your spine properly aligned and prevents excessive sinkage.
- 1” Base Layer – This layer is made of 1” of high-density foam that serves as the foundation for the layers above and provides greater stability and durability to the mattress.
OkiSoft mattress layers
The Ice Yarn Zip cover of this mattress is hypoallergenic and cool to the touch. It helps regulate body temperature and prevents you from overheating.

OkiOki mattress cover
The cover is also removable and machine washable, which means that you can easily remove it by using a zipper and wash it when necessary.
OkiEasy
OkiEasy is an 11” memory foam and foam encased pocketed coil hybrid made of the following layers:
- 2” Top Cushion Layer – This layer is made of 2” of memory foam that perfectly contours to your body without feeling too soft and making your feel stuck.
- 2.5” Transition Layer – This layer is 2.5” of high-density PU foam that provides the right amount of support necessary for a comfortable night’s sleep.
- 5.5” Foam Encased Base Layer – This layer is made of 5.5” of memory foam encased coils. Their enhanced durability independently reacts to pressure and provides buoyant support, while perfectly contouring to the shape of your body.
- 1” Base Layer – This layer is made of 1” of high-density foam that serves as the foundation for the layers above and provides greater stability and durability to the mattress.
This mattress has the same cover like the OkiSoft.
OkiFlex
The OkiFlex is an 11” memory foam and foam-encased pocketed coil hybrid made up of following layers:
- 2” Top Cushion Layer – This layer is made of 2” of graphite-infused memory foam which slightly contours to your body and provides greater support.
- 2.5” Transition Layer – This layer is 2.5″ of two-part high-density PU Foam which provides firm support.
- 5” Foam Encased Base Layer – This layer is made of 5.5” of pocketed coils that react independently to pressure and provide buoyant support. This layer also slightly contours to the shape of your body for a more comfortable night’s sleep.
- 1” Base Layer – This layer is made of 1” of high-density foam that acts as the foundation for the layers above and increases the overall stability and durability of the mattress.

The cover is again the same like the covers of the previous two mattresses.
Firmness & Support
OkiOki mattresses vary in terms of firmness. Like we have already mentioned there are 4 firmness options: OkiSoft, OkiFirm, OkiEasy, and OkiFlex and they gradually transition in firmness levels.
OkiSoft
We got the king size of the OkiSoft and personally felt it to be around a 5.5 on the firmness scale (10 being the firmest), so it is more on a softer side.
The company rates it even softer as you can see from the graphic below which you can also find on their site.

OkiOki firmness scale
As always, firmness is largely weight dependent, and the fact that I weight considerably more than Kaye (230 lbs vs. 115) tends to have a rather large bearing on the degree of sinkage I experience when sitting or lying on a mattress.
The OkiSoft is more on the softer side which is why its top comfort layer compressed quite a bit under my weight. When lying on a mattress my weight was fairly distributed, but when I sat upright on the bed, I felt the harder support layer as I quickly sunk through the soft top comfort layer.

OkiSoft, corner view
Although OkiSoft’s gel memory foam will allow you to sink quite a bit into it, you will still get enough support from the somewhat firmer core layer.
The top comfort layer will provide you with a cloud-like feel and cradle your body to prevent the appearance of pressure points and stiffness while the firmer core layer will provide you with enough support necessary for proper spinal alignment and a comfortable night’s sleep.
OkiEasy
We got two Twin XLs of the OkiEasy, which is a hybrid mattress that has a medium to medium-soft feel and falls somewhere around a 6 on the firmness scale as you can see above.
The OkiEasy is quite soft too, but unlike the OkiSoft, this one has a faster recovery. Its memory foam layers will provide you with the contouring feel and allow you to sink into them to a certain degree for perfect pressure relief while the foam encased pocketed coil layer will provide you with the right amount of support in any sleeping position.
The foam wrapped coil layer offers enough responsiveness needed to change positions and get in and out of bed with ease. Each coil will react independently to pressure, provide buoyant support and respond individually to your unique body curves.
It will lift your body weight, distribute it evenly across the bed and prevent you from sinking too deep into the mattress and feel enveloped by it.
OkiFlex
We got two Twin XL OkiFlex mattresses too. These are medium-firm hybrids offering a balanced support and somewhat firmer feel than the previous two, and they fall around a 7 on the firmness scale (10 being the firmest).
The top comfort layer of the OkiFlex did a good job at cradling our hips and shoulders and prevented the appearance of pressure points while the firmer foam-encased pocket coil core provided a firm feel and support and prevented me from sinking too deep into the mattress.
Its combination of dense memory foam and foam-encased pocket coils helped support my heavier weight and distributed it evenly across the bed. Like it was the case with the previous OkiEasy, each pocketed coil reacted independently, provided buoyant support and helped in reducing pressure points.

Kaye later used the medium firm OkiFlex on her side of the bed as she generally prefers firmer mattresses and I used the OkiEasy as I’m a heavier sleeper and like softer mattresses that can cushion my hips and shoulders when sleeping on my side.
This mattress worked perfectly for me and Kaye’s did the same for her. Using separate mattresses also prevented Kaye from rolling into me due to our weight disparity and she didn’t experience the well known feel of “sinking into a hole”.

Comfort
OkiSoft
The OkiSoft is a rather comfortable mattress. If you like softer mattresses that can make you feel like sleeping on clouds, then the OkiSoft may be the right choice for you.
Its top comfort layer of gel memory foam is incredibly soft and will perfectly contour to your body and prevent the appearance of pressure points. Although heavier sleepers may push down into the mattress more than those with lighter weight, it won’t cause you to feel trapped in foam.
In addition, the mattress has a very soft and comfortable exterior that works together with the top comfort layer to provide a comfortable sleeping surface. The softness of the cover combined with the initial soft response from the foam layers does a great job at providing a comfortable night’s sleep.
OkiEasy
The OkiEasy is extremely comfortable with its high-quality foam layers on the top which mold and hug your body and provide a comfortable sleeping surface.
These layers combined with the foam encased coils do an excellent job of relieving pressure points, isolating movement and providing a perfect amount of support necessary for any sleeping position.
As soon as you lie down on this mattress you will feel the softness and luxuriousness of the cover and top foam layers that gently cradle your body and create a cloud-like feel while the pocketed coil layer and the base layer will provide you with a nice lift and support and prevent you from sinking too deep into the mattress and feel enveloped by it.
The hybrid construction of this mattress with the pocketed coil support layer and the layers of foam on the top responds and adjusts to your body as you move at night and provides the expected bounce to the mattress which makes it perfect for sex.
OkiFlex
OkiFlex is also an extremely comfortable mattress with its super soft cover that provides a pleasant and cool sleeping surface and foam layers combined with the foam encased coils offering a perfect balance of comfort and support with a nice degree of bounce and responsiveness.

OkiFlex and OkiEasy mattresses, corner view
The combination foam and foam encased coils both cradle your body and provide pressure relief while they also offer enough firmness and support necessary to keep your spine properly aligned in all sleeping positions and make your night’s sleep more comfortable.
This mattress is a bit firmer than the previous two and it does an excellent job at supporting heavier individuals and combined weight of couples. It has a high degree of bounce and responsiveness which facilitates changing positions and getting in and out of bed during the night and makes it great for late night couple’s activities.
Sleeping Hot
The good thing about these mattresses is that they all sleep cool and won’t cause any discomfort during the night and that sticky sweaty feel typical for most all foam mattresses and hybrids using memory foam in their construction.
OkiSoft
This mattress does a good job at sleeping cool due to the gel-infused foam top comfort layer that promotes cooling. High-porosity gel memory foam also allows greater airflow through the mattress and discourage heat retention while the highly breathable Ice Yarn cover is cool to the touch and creates an extremely pleasant sleeping surface
OkiEasy
Being a hybrid, this bed includes the pocketed coil layer which allow the air to circulate freely through the mattress and help it stay cool throughout the night.
The use of the soft and breathable cover combined with the hybrid coil construction all do a great job of ensuring the mattress sleeps cooler than most mattresses we have reviewed.
OkiFlex
This mattress is another hybrid that sleeps incredibly cool due to its specific construction that includes pocketed coils and the use of the Ice Yarn cover that is breathable and cool to the touch.
In addition, the air holes in the memory foam make the foam more breathable, allow greater airflow through the mattress and work together with the pocketed coil layer and Ice Yarn cover to eliminate heat retention and help you sleep cooler and comfortable all night long.
Sinkage & Motion Transfer
As I have already mentioned, the OkiOki mattresses vary in terms of firmness and they also vary in the amount of sinkage and motion transfer that each of them causes.
OkiSoft
As for sinkage, there was a bit of it with this mattress as it is more on the softer side, but it was nothing too extreme. It is true that I quickly compressed its top comfort layer, especially when sitting near the edge, but I didn’t bottom out and did not cause Kaye to roll towards me.
There was some motion transfer with the OkiSoft when we adjusted positions during the night which, again, is to be expected due to our weight disparity, but there was not too much of it given its all foam construction designed to isolate and minimize motion transfer.
Edge support was not so great with this mattress, which is again due to its softer nature. I had compressed them to a good degree under my heavy weight, but I didn’t come to rest on the foundation of our bed like it was the case with some other mattresses we have tested.

OkiOki mattress profile
OkiEasy
The OkiEasy mattress does a good job with sinkage. As we always preach, sinkage and motion transfer are largely weight dependent and the fact that I weigh around 230lbs tends to have a rather large bearing on the degree of sinkage I experience when sitting and lying on a mattress.
I often tend to compress the mattresses quite a bit under my weight and come to rest on their firmer support layers which are often hard and not so comfortable.
Although I compressed the softer top comfort layers of this mattress to a certain degree, I did not feel the coil layer beneath. In addition, the foam encased coil layer prevented me from sinking too deep into the mattress, provided me with a nice lift and did not make me feel enveloped by a mattress. It supported my heavy weight with ease and distributed it evenly across the bed.
Edge support is also very good due to the use of high-quality foam layers and durable pocketed coils in the construction of this mattress. I did not compress the mattress so much when sitting on the edge and did not experience any of the “rolling off” the edges sensation.
Motion transfer is present to some extent with this mattress which can be expected from a coil/foam hybrid that provides more bounce than all foam mattresses. However, foam layers on top and individually pocketed coils limited excessive movement to a large degree.
OkiFlex
The firmer construction of this mattress does a great job at reducing the amount of sinkage, especially when compared to most all foam mattresses we have reviewed.
The foam and coil construction of the OkiFlex mattress does a good job of providing the support and responsiveness that minimizes sinkage. I didn’t compress the top graphite-infused foam layer too much and it worked perfectly well with the high-density transition layer and coil layer below to support my heavy weight with ease and distribute it evenly across the bed.
The responsiveness of this mattress also prevented me from sinking too deep into it feeling enveloped by it as it is the case with many other mattresses.

OkiFlex and OkiEasy profile
Edge support is also excellent with this mattress. It is true that I compressed the top comfort layer a little when sitting on its edge due to my heavy weight but the high-density transition layer and foam encased coil layer beneath did a good job of lifting my weight and preventing me from sinking further and experience the “rolling off” of the mattress sensation.
Motion transfer is a bit higher with this mattress too which is to be expected from a hybrid mattress of such construction, but the foam layers combined with the pocketed coils did a good job at isolating motion transfer.
Smell / Off-Gassing
The OkiOki mattresses also get high marks for not having much of a noticeable smell upon opening the box. The OkiSoft being made entirely of foam had a minimal amount of off-gassing smell, but it was nothing too extreme and it dissipated withing a few hours.
The hybrid coil / foam construction of the other two mattresses mattress minimized the degree of off-gassing that all foam mattresses usually have.

Overall, OkiOki mattresses are great mattresses offering high-quality materials and excellent craftsmanship at more than a reasonable price.
Although each of them has a different firmness level, all of them are capable of providing you with just the right amount of support and comfort necessary to keep your spine properly aligned, cradle your body and prevent the appearance of pressure points.
There is also an optimal degree of bounce and responsiveness with each of these mattresses coming from their specific constructions.
The OkiSoft is perfect for those looking for a cloud like feel. It may cause some sinkage, but it won’t make you feel trapped in foam.
The other two mattresses don’t cause excessive sinkage and all of them sleep incredibly cool due to their unique construction and their Ice Yarn covers that allow greater breathability and make the sleeping surface cool and pleasant to the touch.
So, if you are looking for luxury and comfortable mattresses, all foam or hybrids, you definitely can’t go wrong choosing one of the OkiOki mattresses. They are great for all those who like the hug and contour of foam and the bounce of innerspring mattresses.
