Materials

The Noa Lite is a 25 cm thick hybrid mattress made up of pocketed coils and various layers of foam.

The Noa Lite mattress features an ultra-breathable and exceptionally soft Tencel pillow top.

This pillow top is not only aesthetically appealing, but it also helps minimize body impressions over use and wrinkles of the cover while securing the comfort and support layers within the mattress in place.

It also comes with antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties, so a comfortable and peaceful night’s sleep without allergies is guaranteed.

Beneath this amazing pillow top, there are layers of the special cooling gel memory foam and transition foam.

While the gel-infused memory foam provides enhanced cooling, pressure relief, contouring, and support, the layer of adaptive transition foam provides exceptional motion isolation to help prevent motion transfer between the partners and sleep disturbance.

These layers combined with the supportive and durable, premium pocketed springs below provide excellent support, bounce, and durability. Being encased in highly breathable mesh material, these pocketed springs also allow the air to circulate freely through the mattress and aid in cooling.

Moreover, the Noa Lite features an exquisitely hand-tufted side perimeter which also helps minimize wrinkles of the fabric and secures all inner layers within the mattress in place.

Comfort/Firmness

The Noa Lite mattress is a universal comfort model designed to appeal to most sleepers, and we felt it to be around a 7.5 on the firmness scale (10 being the firmest).

The company has their own firmness scale where they rate this mattress in a range you can see below.

Noa Lite firmness scale

Noa Lite firmness scale

The Noa Lite mattress falls more on the firmer side of the spectrum, which means that those sleepers accustomed to a softer sleeping surface may require some period of adjustment.

Although this mattress may initially feel a bit firm and not so cushioned, it will eventually adapt to the unique curves of your body and provide you with everything you need for a comfortable night’s sleep.

The softer Tencel pillow top works with a layer of cooling gel memory foam and a layer of adaptive transition foam to provide just the right amount of pressure relief, cooling, and comfort.

The sturdy and durable pocketed springs below offer excellent support needed to keep your spine naturally aligned regardless of your body type or your preferred sleeping position.

With its 25 cm thick design and all the special materials used in its construction, this mattress works perfectly for heavier sleepers as well.

Side Sleepers

The Noa Lite mattress is more on the firmer side, and we felt it to be around a 7.5 on the firmness scale (10 being the firmest). The company rates this mattress a little firmer, and it scores an 8 on their firmness scale.

This means that the Noa Lite mattress may not work well for all side sleepers initially, and they may require a short adjustment period. Generally, I prefer medium-firm mattresses that offer enough give in the top comfort layers to cushion my hips and shoulders and prevent the appearance of pressure points and numbness in my limbs.

Although this mattress features a softer pillow top and layers of gel foam and adaptive transition foam, I didn’t find it so comfortable when sleeping on my side. Kaye prefers mattresses with a firmer feel, so she felt it worked perfectly well for her for this position.

Back and Stomach Sleepers

As for back and stomach position, we felt this mattress worked perfectly for us while sleeping on our backs and stomachs, and we think that back and stomach sleepers might benefit from the firm feel of the Noa Lite.

The durable pocketed springs work with the foam layers above and a pillow top to provide a supportive sleeping surface and create the sensation of floating on top of a mattress rather than sleeping inside it.

So, the mattress distributed our body weights evenly across the sleeping surface and kept our spines naturally aligned, while there was also a subtle hint of body contouring and enough pressure relief and comfort. The mattress felt comfortable in these sleeping positions, and I didn’t feel stuck inside the mattress.

Combo Sleepers

The Noa Lite mattress may be a perfect option for you if you share your bed with a partner and you tend to frequently change positions during the night.

It features a layer of adaptive transition foam, which minimizes the amount of motion transfer between the partners, and it also sleeps incredibly cool due to the use of various cooling technologies in its construction.

Besides this, the mattress has exceptional edge support, which allows you to use the entire surface of the bed and roll between all three positions without the mattress getting in your way.

There is enough responsiveness with this mattress, so it will allow you to easily change positions during the night without making you feel trapped in foam.

Air Flow/Temperature Control

The Noa Lite mattress does an excellent job of sleeping cool due to the use of various cooling technologies in its construction.

The mattress features an ultra-breathable, hand-tufted Tencel cover which works with the gel-infused cooling memory foam to draw heat away from your body and keep you cool throughout the night.

Besides this, there is a unique pocketed spring layer that features springs individually wrapped in breathable mesh. Together they allow greater airflow through the mattress and aid in removing heat from the surface of the bed and keeping you cool and comfortable all night long.

Motion Transfer/Isolation

The fact that I weigh around 230 lbs tends to have a rather large bearing on the degree of sinkage I experience when sitting and lying on a mattress, which is something that my partner Kaye doesn’t experience.

I often tend to compress the top comfort layers of most hybrid mattresses quite a bit due to my heavy weight. Kaye, being half my weight, experiences much less sinkage than I do as her lighter weight doesn’t compress down the bed too much.

The Noa Lite does a good job with motion transfer, especially compared to most mattresses we have reviewed. As we often tend to mention, sinkage and motion transfer are largely weight dependent.

A nice 25 cm thick design of the Noa Lite mattress combined with the pillow top, pocketed springs, and layers of gel foam, and adaptive transition foam did a great job of minimizing the amount of sinkage and motion transfer, so we didn’t feel much disruption in our sleep.

As the mattress creates the feel of sleeping on top of a bed rather than inside it, it won’t allow you to sink too much into it and feel trapped in foam.

Various supportive layers lifted my heavier weight and our weights combined sleeping as a couple with ease and distributed them evenly across the bed.

They also offered enough responsiveness to facilitate changing positions and getting in and out of bed during the night, while at the same time they provided excellent edge support as well.

Edge Support

Edge support is amazing with this mattress due to the sturdy and durable pocketed springs used in its construction.

They provide excellent support for your body and excellent edge support as well. They will allow you to use the entire surface of the bed without making you feel as if you are going to roll off the edges or sink all the way down to the foundation of your bed.

Sex

The Noa Lite mattress gets high marks in this category as well. It offers a nice degree of bounce and responsiveness, which facilitates moving around and makes this mattress perfect for sex.

It is of perfect firmness and will make movement and positioning quite comfortable, and it is also silent, so you don’t have to worry about squeaking noises.

Although there are various foam layers on top and the softer Tencel pillow top, they don’t impact the responsiveness of this mattress, so enjoyable late-night couple’s fun (sex) is guaranteed.

Product Conclusion

Should you buy this mattress? We say yes! The Noa Lite is a premium foam/coil hybrid mattress that comes in with numerous special features and at a more than a reasonable price range.

So, if you want a luxury feel at a fraction of the price of the in-store mattress brands, you should not look further from the Noa Lite mattress. This and the fact that the mattress comes with a 100-Night sleep trial makes the Noa Lite a perfect option for everyone.

As for the delivery process, it went pretty smoothly. The company’s third-party transporter contacted us within three business days of our purchase by email to confirm the receipt of our order. After they processed our order, we received an email with delivery date/time slot options to choose from.

The mattress arrived within a few days, and we found it easy to handle and unpack. As soon as we opened the box and pulled the mattress out of its plastic package, it started to expand. It didn’t take long for the mattress to regain its original shape.

The company recommends allowing 30-60 seconds for the mattress to fully expand, and you can use it immediately, although they advise waiting at least 2-3 days for the product to reach its optimal form and comfort.

The customer service of this company was also quite responsive. They were quick to answer all our questions both on the phone and by email.

Conclusion

Overall, the Noa Lite is a great foam/coil hybrid, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mattress with a firmer feel that works perfectly for back and stomach sleeping.

It is an affordable mattress that comes with excellent support and cooling features. It is great both for couples and heavier sleepers, and if you are not a side sleeper looking for softer beds, I think this mattress would be ideal for you.
