Brooklyn Bedding Pillow Review
Buying an ideal pillow these days is not quite as simple as it was before. With multiple filling materials, fabrics and technology options available, there is a wide range of choices on today’s market, and it may be hard for you to find the right one for your needs, especially if you suffer from allergies and are sensitive to certain chemicals.
There are many pillows that claim to be suitable for those susceptible to allergies, but latex pillows seem to have given the best results so far.
Ideal for people with allergies and those sensitive to chemicals, natural latex pillows are also very durable and pressure relieving, and one such pillow that we’ll be reviewing today is the Brooklyn Bedding latex pillow.

Construction & Materials
The Brooklyn Bedding latex pillow measures 16″×7″×29, which is a standard pillow size that can fit in any normal pillowcase. It is made of blended Talalay latex from Latex International, and it can be customized to firm or plush based on your selection during check out.
The pillow is made out of a single, aerated piece of latex and has tiny holes that are created when pouring the latex into the pillow mold and that make this pillow breathable and aid in cooling during the night.
The latex construction of this pillow will result in a slight smell that may last for a few days, but it is nothing overpowering, it is a natural smell of latex and will eventually dissipate.
There is also a lot of bounce and responsiveness coming from this pillow which is again due to its latex construction. It quickly regains its original shape once the pressure is removed regardless of how long it is used.
The pillow has a very nice charcoal-infused bamboo cover that is very soft to the touch and has a simple design that will not leave marks on your face.
It is a blend of 60 % polyester and 40% charcoal bamboo and has moisture wicking properties. It is also removable with a handy zipper and washable, so you can take it off in case you want to wash it.
The cover is very breathable and specific in that it is dark, so if you have white or light colored pillow cases, the dark color may show through. You can solve this by using a white pillow protector, but in such case you’ll probably lose some of its breathability.
Although both of us prefer adjustable pillows stuffed with shredded memory foam that we can easily remove to adjust the loft of the pillow to our liking, and although we are not so fond of latex, we really enjoyed this pillow.
It is of medium thickness and has a soft feel to it and enough give to prevent the appearance of pressure points and provide necessary comfort for a quality night’s sleep.
If you like a soft and plush pillow that will perfectly contour to your head and neck and keep your spine in proper alignment, then this may be an option worth looking at.
We felt the Brooklyn Bedding latex pillow was of a good size, and it did a great job at supporting our necks while sleeping, especially when sleeping on side.
It is suitable for all sleeping styles, even the stomach sleeping as it is not too thick and allows you to put your arm under the pillow without throwing your neck out of alignment.
But, Andrew and I generally prefer sleeping on our side and the pillow did an excellent job here and supported our heads and necks just fine.
What we especially like about this pillow is that it does not retain heat and sleeps incredibly cool.
The latex used in its construction is a natural material known for its cooling properties while the small holes created when pouring the latex in the mold aid in airflow and make this pillow breathable and one of the coolest we have slept on.
Price & Warranty
The Brooklyn Bedding’s pillow comes in at around 60$ for a Queen size which is an incredible value for a premium pillow.
